Finalisterna i Pitch Your Heart Out på Nordisk Panorama

Your Heart Out under Nordisk Panorama!

Akram Mahmod

My name is Akram, and I’m a filmmaker from Malmö, shaped by a strong working-class upbringing where we turned hardships into humor and found joy in life’s simplest moments. As a first-generation Swede with parents from different countries, I grew up encouraged to question the world around me, and this curiosity has now become a core strength in my work.

My background and passion for film have shown me that no pain, sorrow, or trauma is too great to confront, discuss, and ultimately transform into art. This philosophy guides me both in life and in filmmaking — using personal experiences and challenges as creative inspiration.
